Mr. Yuan-Peng Lin,
Director-General of Water Resources Agency (WRA),
Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).

Director-General Yuan-Peng Lin has dedicated 32 years to public service, beginning his career at the junior positions in local government. Over the years, he has held various positions, including:
- Subdivision Chief, New Construction Office, Public Works Department, Taipei City Government.
- Section Chief and Senior Engineer of Water Resources Management Division, Water Resources Agency, MOEA.
- Supervising Engineer and Deputy Director, Southern Region Water Resources Branch (formerly Southern Region Water Resources Office), Water Resources Agency, MOEA.
- Director of Water Resources Management Division, Deputy Chief Engineer, Chief Engineer, and Deputy Director-General of Water Resources Agency.
On March 19, 2025, he was officially appointed by the Executive Yuan as Director-General of the Water Resources Agency.
Director-General Lin possesses extensive expertise in water resource management, encompassing the implementation of national water policy and regulations, major infrastructure planning and implementation, reservoir desilting, reservoir operations, and integrated water resource governance. During his tenure as Director of the Water Resources Management Division, he oversaw nationwide water resource development and management. Under his leadership, critical projects such as the Hushan Reservoir, the Kinmen Water Supply Project from Mainland China, and the Zhongzhuang Retention Basin, were successfully completed. In recognition of his contributions, he was honored by the Ministry of Economic Affairs as an Outstanding Civil Servant in 2018.
During Taiwan’s most severe drought in a century, Director-General Lin, then serving as Chief Engineer of Water Resources Agency, led the nationwide drought response efforts. He convened daily emergency meetings and worked relentlessly with his team to oversee relief operations and resolve emerging challenges. Under his decisive leadership, emergency water supply systems were promptly deployed, enabling effective resource allocation and substantially alleviating the crisis. His outstanding performance earned widespread recognition and commendation across both the public and private sectors.
