FLO-2D is a two-dimensional flood hazard modeling system developed by FLO-2D Software, Inc. It is recognized by the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for hydraulic modeling applications related to flood hazard analysis.

The model can be used for urban flood simulation, floodplain management, engineering risk assessment, irregular channel hydraulic routing, bridge and culvert hydraulics, and detention basin analysis. It can also simulate overland flow, urban hydrology, mudflow, and debris-flow processes.

FLO-2D is useful when floodwaters spread across complex terrain or urban areas where one-dimensional river models may not fully represent the flow pattern. By simulating two-dimensional flow depth, velocity, and flood extent, the model can support flood risk mapping, drainage planning, disaster prevention, and evaluation of flood mitigation measures.
