The knowledge of water resource planning briefly lists five projects and describe as follows :
Conjunctive operation types of reservoir and weir in Taiwan
The conjunctive operation of reservoir and weir in Taiwan can be divided into two types : cooperation type of water supply and cooperation type of hydropower reservoir. The reservoir and weir conjunctive operation types in Taiwan list as table 1.

Conjunctive operation of water supply：There are three types, including reservoir discharge in downstream weir, transbasin diversion from weir to reservoir, and water-pumping from weir to reservoir, respectively described as follows :
- Reservoir discharges to downstream weir(shown in Fig. 1)：Water supply joint operation of on-stream reservoir and weir in downstream river, such as Feitsui Reservoir and Zhitan Dam.
- Transbasin diversion from weir to reservoir(shown in Fig. 2)：Utilizing transbasin diversion from weir to reservoir in order to joint operation of water supply, such as Shih-lin Weir and Liyutan Reservoir.
- Water-pumping from weir to reservoir (shown in Fig. 3)：Utilizing water-pumping from weir to the reservoir located in another river basin, such as Ba-Du Weir and Hsin-Shan Reservoir.
Conjunctive operation through hydropower reservoir：There are three types, including：(1)Hydropower generated through upstream reservoir and downstream weir used the tail water (shown in Fig. 4), (2)Transbasin diversion hydropower (shown in Fig. 5), (3)Pumped storage hydropower (shown in Fig. 6).
